Day 1: Casablanca to Rabat and Fes – Imperial Cities & Cultural Heritage

Your adventure begins in Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling economic heart and home to modern architecture, lively boulevards, and world-class cultural landmarks. We start by visiting the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. This masterpiece, standing proudly on the Atlantic coast, showcases intricate craftsmanship, a soaring minaret, and extraordinary ocean views.

We continue through the city’s modern districts, admiring the elegant mix of Art Deco and contemporary design before departing north toward the capital.

Explore Rabat – Morocco’s Political & Historical Capital

Upon arrival in Rabat, we explore its highlights, starting with the Royal Palace, the residence of the King of Morocco. Then we venture to the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret that stands as a symbol of dynastic power. Nearby lies the beautiful Mausoleum of Mohammed V, adorned with white marble, intricate carvings, and royal guards guarding the entrance.

Our exploration also includes the Kasbah of the Udayas, a UNESCO-listed Andalusian fortress with narrow alleys, white-and-blue houses, and stunning views over the Bouregreg River.

Arrive in Fes – A Journey into the Past

We continue toward Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Upon arrival, you settle into your riad inside or near the ancient medina. The evening is yours to relax, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, or wander through the medina’s vibrant streets.

Day 2: Full Discovery of Fes – The Spiritual & Cultural Heart of Morocco

Fes el-Bali – A Living Medieval City

After breakfast, explore Fes el-Bali, the largest car-free urban area in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walking through this medieval labyrinth feels like stepping back several centuries.

Highlights include:

• Al-Qarawiyyin University, the world’s oldest continuously operating university

• Bou Inania Madrasa, a remarkable example of Marinid architecture

• The Tanneries of Chouara, where natural dyes and ancient techniques bring leather to life

• Nejjarine Museum, showcasing intricate woodcraft

• Artisan workshops where we witness traditional pottery and zellige tile making

Fes el-Jdid & The Royal Palace

In the afternoon, we explore Fes el-Jdid, home to the magnificent Royal Palace Gates, adorned with brass and zellige mosaics. Then we visit the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter, rich with heritage and unique architecture.

As the evening approaches, we prepare for the next day’s adventure—our journey into the Sahara.

Day 3: Fes to Merzouga Desert – Across the Atlas to the Heart of the Sahara

Ifrane – The Switzerland of Morocco

Departing Fes, we drive south through the enchanting landscapes of the Middle Atlas. Our first stop is Ifrane, a charming alpine city known for its European-style architecture, cedar forests, and pristine atmosphere.

Azrou & The Cedar Forest Monkeys

We continue toward Azrou, home to Morocco’s famous cedar forests where the Barbary macaque monkeys roam freely. Visitors often enjoy interacting with and photographing these friendly creatures.

Midelt & Ziz Valley – A Scenic Drive

Passing through Midelt, known for its apple orchards, we head toward the Ziz Valley, one of the longest palm-filled valleys in Morocco. From panoramic viewpoints, we admire the river, kasbahs, and vast stretches of oases.

Welcome to the Sahara – Camel Trek in Erg Chebbi

By the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, your desert experience begins.

You will ride a camel caravan across the golden dunes as the sun begins to set, painting the sky with mesmerizing colors. Upon arrival at your luxury or standard desert camp, you enjoy traditional tea, a delicious dinner, and music by the campfire under a sky filled with millions of stars.

This night in the Sahara is often the most unforgettable part of the journey.

Day 4: Merzouga to Marrakech – The High Atlas Experience

Sunrise Over Erg Chebbi

Wake up early to witness one of the most magical moments of your tour: sunrise over the dunes. The stillness, colors, and endless golden sands create a moment you will never forget.

After breakfast at the camp or village, we begin our journey to Marrakech.

Todra Gorge – Morocco’s Grand Canyon

We travel through Rissani, the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, then continue to the dramatic Todra Gorge, a massive canyon with towering 300-meter cliffs. The crystal-clear river and rugged terrain make this region a paradise for hikers and photographers.

Dades Valley & the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs

We then drive through the Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations and ancient kasbahs. The landscapes here shift dramatically—from green oases to arid mountains and deep ravines.

Ouarzazate & the High Atlas Mountains

Continuing toward Marrakech, we pass through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” This region features world-famous film studios and offers views of the Atlas Mountains.

The final stretch takes us across the impressive Tizi n’Tichka Pass, winding through scenic landscapes, Berber villages, and high-altitude vistas.

Arrival in Marrakech – The Red City

We arrive in Marrakech, where the tour concludes. Whether you continue your exploration or head to your hotel, the energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the charm of the medina, and the beauty of the gardens await you.
