Day 1: Tangier to Chefchaouen – The Blue Pearl of Morocco

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we travel onward to Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities, famed for its ancient medina and deep-rooted spiritual culture.

Upon arrival, we explore highlights of Fes el Bali, the oldest and largest medina in the Arab world. With more than 9,000 winding streets, Fes is a living museum of Moroccan heritage.

Key places include:

• University of Al Quaraouiyine, the world’s oldest university

• Bou Inania Madrasa, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture

• Tanneries of Chouara, where leather-making traditions continue

Journey Through the Middle Atlas

From Fes, the adventure continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine architecture and pristine environment.

We then traverse:

• The cedar forests of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaques

• The scenic landscapes of the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and dramatic canyon views

Arrival in Merzouga – The Gateway to the Sahara

Reaching Merzouga, you will be greeted by the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi, one of Morocco’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Here, your desert adventure begins.

After a warm welcome at our desert base, you will:

• Embark on a sunset camel trek across the golden dunes

Rissani is the birthplace of Morocco’s ruling dynasty, the Alaouites. The town’s traditional markets showcase:

• Spices, dates, and local produce

• Handcrafted goods

• Traditional clothing and Berber jewelry

Todra Gorge – Morocco’s Majestic Canyons

Continuing toward the Atlas Mountains, we arrive at the majestic Todra Gorge, a natural marvel carved by the Todra River. With towering limestone cliffs reaching 300 meters high, Todra Gorge is a favorite destination for nature lovers and rock-climbing enthusiasts.

Boumalne Dades – Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs

The day ends in Boumalne Dades, home to one of Morocco’s most scenic valleys. Known as the Dades Valley, this region features dramatic rock formations, fortified kasbahs, and lush oases.

Explore:

• The famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations

• The winding Dades Road, offering spectacular views

• Traditional Berber villages and palm-filled valleys

Overnight in Dades ensures a peaceful rest before the final journey to Marrakech.

Day 4: Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, the tour continues along the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.”

Ouarzazate – Morocco’s Film Capital

Visit iconic locations such as:

• Taourirt Kasbah, a UNESCO-listed structure

• The world-famous Atlas Film Studios, where major films and series were produced

Ait Ben Haddou – UNESCO World Heritage Treasure

Next, we explore Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic ksars. This fortified village has been featured in numerous films such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy.

Walk through its ancient alleys, admire its mud-brick architecture, and enjoy breathtaking views from the granary at the top of the village.

Crossing the High Atlas to Marrakech

The journey continues through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views of valleys, Berber villages, and rugged peaks.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, the tour concludes in the city’s vibrant energy, where ancient traditions harmonize with modern life.
