Day 1: Agadir to Ouarzazate

Your journey begins with an early departure from Agadir, traveling inland across diverse landscapes marked by argan tree forests, rolling hills, and traditional Berber villages. As you continue toward the Anti-Atlas region, the scenery gradually shifts to rugged mountains and dramatic valleys.

You will pass through Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, and later through Taznakht, known for its Amazigh carpets. The road continues toward Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” a city famous for its movie studios and stunning kasbahs.

Arrival in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Enjoy free time to relax or explore the iconic Kasbah Taourirt, the medina, or take a short stroll around the city.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Nkob – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga Desert (Camel Trekking)

After breakfast in Ouarzazate, your journey toward the Sahara begins by driving southeast through dramatic landscapes shaped by mountains, valleys, and ancient caravan routes. The first major stop is Agdez, a charming village marking the gateway to the magnificent Draa Valley—one of Morocco’s longest and most picturesque palm-filled oases. Along the way, you will enjoy panoramic views of traditional ksars, fortified mud-brick kasbahs, and lush palm groves stretching as far as the eye can see.

The road continues through the peaceful village of Nkob, known for its impressive collection of 45 ancient kasbahs and its breathtaking views of the rugged Jbel Saghro Mountains. Nkob is an ideal place for capturing authentic images of southern Moroccan architecture and rural Berber life.

From Nkob, you travel through open desert plains toward Alnif, a small town famous for its fossil-rich landscapes. This region attracts geology enthusiasts from around the world, thanks to its abundance of prehistoric fossils found in the surrounding hills and rocky terrain. It’s a fascinating stop for those interested in Morocco’s natural history.

Next, the journey leads to Rissani, a historic town with deep cultural and economic significance in the Sahara. Once a major stop for camel caravans traveling across North Africa, Rissani remains home to one of the most authentic traditional markets in Morocco. Visitors can explore its lively souks, admire date markets, browse artisan workshops, and discover local dishes such as Medfouna, the famous “Berber stuffed bread.”

In the afternoon, you arrive at the towering golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, one of Morocco’s most iconic desert destinations. Here, your camel trekking experience begins. Mounted on camels, you journey across the serene desert as the sun sets behind the dunes, painting the landscape with warm and magical colors.

Upon arrival at your Sahara desert camp, you are welcomed with mint tea and time to relax before enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner under a sky full of stars. The evening continues with Berber music around the campfire, offering a perfect blend of culture, tranquility, and unforgettable desert atmosphere.

Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todgha Gorges – Boumalne Dades

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara dunes—an unforgettable moment. After breakfast, you will depart for Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil workshops and desert culture.

The journey continues to the stunning Todgha Gorges, where towering cliffs rise dramatically on either side of a narrow canyon. Enjoy time for a walk, photography, or simply soaking in the natural beauty.

In the afternoon, drive to the Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” filled with ancient fortresses, dramatic rock formations, and lush oasis scenery. You will explore the iconic Monkey Fingers rock formations and the winding Dades Gorge road.

Day 4: Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, begin your return journey toward Marrakech. Your first stop will be Ouarzazate, followed by the world-famous UNESCO site Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most impressive ksars. Its ancient clay architecture has been featured in many films and TV series such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy.

After exploring this historic fortified village, the journey continues through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, crossing the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering breathtaking panoramic views and Berber settlements scattered along the route.

Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your 4-day tour.
